Beautifully restored and numbers matching 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 backed by an M20 wide ratio.
Very original and numbers matching 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 in Tyrol Blue and the matching blue vinyl interior. It is believed the 59,000 miles showing on the odometer are original. PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) paperwork verifying its authenticity is included with the sale.
This Firebird is powered by Pontiac’s legendary 400 cu. in. V8 rated at 325 horsepower and backed by a Muncie M-20 wide ratio 4-speed. The rear differential is a Limited Slip with 3.55:1 gears. Options include power steering, power brakes, gauge cluster, and hood mounted tachometer.
History on the Firebird is not known, but it has had an exterior re-paint which appears to be a 2-stage urethane. It is not perfect but shows well. There does not appear to be any rust showing. All the body panels appear original including the floors, rockers, and fenders. At some point this car was also treated to a rust proofing by Ziebart.
The interior is original and in very good condition. All the factory gauges function including the optional tachometer on the hood and radio.
The suspension had recent work done to it which includes shocks, tie rod ends, and bushings.
The engine runs strong, shows no smoke, starts, and idles easily. Shifting is very smooth.
Overall, the Firebird runs great and is a great representation of Pontiac’s Performance heritage. It most certainly would draw attention wherever it goes.
